Apart from having made thousands of calls, 28-year-old Linda Murphy from New Mexico was said to have sent him 1 937 emails, 41 229 text messages, 217 sung messages and 647 letters during this week.
The obsessed woman unable to handle the break of her 3-week-long relationship William Ryans was accused of using up to three phones at once to call him, 24 hours a day, on his cell phone, home number and at work.
Murphy also having history of mental disorders was reportedly taking energy drinks and drugs not to fall asleep and to keep calling the victim non-stop.
After a week of extreme behaviour the shocked ex-boyfriend reported the case to the police. Evidently it was not hard to provide the proof. His lawyer revealed after the woman’s arrest:
"He hasn’t been able to sleep, work or enjoy life in any way, for more than a week. He was having a hard time thinking clearly and was nearing depression, it was about time the harassment ceased. Now all we want is for Ms. Murphy to get the medical help she needs, and for the law to keep her away from my client."
Although the development of this story was not made public, most experts presumed that Murphy would be directed for a psychological evaluation.
